Updated Serendipity used on this blog page from version 1.5.5 to version 1.6

Went through all the blog posts and deleted the obsolete posts. I also added topic icons to all of those posts that didn't yet have them and at the same time I updated some changed links on the older posts.

Added three new photos to the Scenes from a Memory -category. Here are the thumbnails of the new photos:

  

Updated jQuery JavaScript library from version 1.4.3 to version 1.6.2. The library is used in the menu of the site and in the photo galleries. At the same time I decided to remove the jQuery ScrollTo plugin from cvar and maps pages because it wasn't working properly with Chrome and Opera browsers. Now the site is fully compatible with these browsers as well. I have tested the pages with 12 different browsers. You can see the list of the supported browsers here.

Just finished uploading the files of a major update on the site. All the pages have now been given a new layout and some parts of the site have been completely redone. At the same time the site has a brand new look. There might be some bugs to fix, but I have postponed this update for so long already that I decided to release the update now. I will be fixing the small bugs in the near future. I hope you enjoy the new site. Here's a list of some of the things I have updated:

This update fixes the recently found 0-day security exploit in the Xinha WYSIWYG editor's ImageManager and ExtendedFileManager plugins.

The only major bug left on the site was with this blog page since I tried to make some major changes to the template used and for some reason it didn't go as well as I planned. So I had to modify the old template to the new HTML5 standards and now also the blog pages pass the W3C Markup Validator.

Just finished a major update on the site. All the pages have now been converted to HTML5 and at the same time the site has a brand new look. There are still some bugs to fix, but I have postponed this update for so long already that I decided to do the update now. I will be fixing the small bugs in the near future. I hope you enjoy the new site.

Added a few new jokes in Finnish:

• Kirurgeja and Älä laita miestä ostamaan tamponia in keskusteluja-category

• Miesten Päivän Perinnesäätiön ohjelma in miehet ja naiset-category

All small bugs in the code have now been fixed and all pages have been validated with the W3C Markup Validation Service. At the same time I went through the CSS and it has also now been validated with the W3C CSS Validation Service. This means that there shouldn't be any bugs on the code itself, but in case you find anything out of place, let me know.

A long time has passed since the previous update on the pages so I decided to change everything (again) at once. The site has a new layout, which is much simpler than the previous one. The layout change is not the only change I made, even though the content is pretty much the same it used to be. Main changes are on the code, now there is only the top menu, which is created with jQuery Multi Level CSS Menu. This means that I also changed the JavaScript library on the site from script.aculo.us to jQuery. After a brief testing everything seems to work fine, but in case you discover any bugs on the site, please let me know.
